Vasilis Spyroy
vasilis-spyroy (20K) Vasilis is Skopelitan by birth, has lived almost al his life on Skopelos and has proudly been a businessman for some 23 years. The son of a cafe owner, at 17 Vasilis opened La Bikos, a Skopelos nightclub that became one of the top nightclubs in all of Greece! He also opened Karyates, a evening garden terrace bar with a magnificent and romanitic view of the bay and the village of Skopelos.

He closed La Bikos when the first of his three daughters was born, to spend more evenings with his family. He opened Barramres, a waterfront cafe 15 years ago and has been very successful: succesful enough to have created the dowries that his three daughters will need when they finally get married when they are old enough.

About four years ago he re-opended Karyatis which is now run by Pandelis Ramadanis (see Stories)

Always ready with a welcoming smile Vasilis manages his enterprises with remarkable efficiency, inspiring his staff to follow his lead.

Historical note: 15 years ago the location which is now Barramares was the bus station. Many many years before that it was the site where caiques (traditional fishing boats) were built and launched.
